We feel it's still inferior to Creative's Zen or Apple's iPod nano in terms of screen quality but its painfully simple operation makes it a good choice for MP3 newbies or Apple and Creative haters... Trusted Reviews Review (Rated 7/10): The latest player from iRiver - the 8GB E100 - comes from the opposite school of thought putting practicality before looks. It's certainly not the greatest piece of hardware design I've ever come across clad entirely in plain black plastic. Pocket-Lint Review (Rated 7/10): The iRiver E100 has clearly been designed as a rival to the Creative Zen with audio and enhanced video playback. In terms of size it's the same depth as a Zen but slightly narrower and longer. So it comes as something of a shock to find the player generally feels bulky in the hand.
