The sound could be better and the control interface takes some getting used to but other than that its not a bad little player. The bundled reformatting software is best avoided though and we would have liked the ID tag recognition to have been more thorough... Anything But iPod Review: Despite a few firmware tweaks I really appreciate the size and sound quality of this player. It is small with a big screen and a solid durable scratch resistant form factor. As far as sound quality the miniPlayer runs with the big dogs especially when it comes to lower end. Bass heads will be very pleased. The M6 miniPlayer is definitely worth considering and should be put into your comparison chart when selecting a new flash based player.... DAPReview Review (Rated 86/100): Meizu's M6 pretty much came out of the blue and although we had to be sceptic at first it's safe to say that the hype seemed justified. Not only is the Mini Player a great DAP in the sense of audio output performance it can also do various other tricks - and do them well. They say the best things in life come for free; true the M6 isn't the best DAP ever. Still if Meizu manages to come up with a free firmware upgrade to deal with the track number issue (Edit: fixed in fw version 1.009)... this is pretty much as close as it'll ever get. Highly recommended unless you want to hold off for the upcoming successor(s)...
